The Commandment To Love #4

Who is my neighbor While talking about the subject of love, many people I speak with find it hard to forgive and forget. For some there has been great devastation caused by people they know and for the moment refused to forgive them. This is to their own hurt because the scripture says: Ps:66-19 If I regard inequity in my heart God will not hear me . You have to let the past go and let God work on you with the word, it's a process; make it happen. Is:59,1-2 Behold, the Lord 's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. When we come into covenant with God, all of our past sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus, Rom:3-25     Rom6-6     Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should...

Some still have questions about who is my neighbor? Another lesson from Jesus about who is my neighbor;   Lk:10,25-37  25  And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26  He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27  And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28  And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29  But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30  And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31  And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he pas...

The Commandment Of Love #2

The commandment of love  Church folks will tell you with the quickness how much they love God, but if you ask them what about your neighbor it's a different story, in TX. they say that dog won't hunt. Jesus said in: (Mk:12,29-31) v-29 The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel the Lord our God is one Lord. v-30 Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all the heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. v-31 And the second is like namely this, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself . There is none other commandment greater than these This is nothing new, Jesus was confirming what was spoken to Israel after they came out of Egypt. Lev:19,16-19 The commandments are the stander the Lord set for all man kind to live by Rom:13,8-9  He said it again v-8 Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. v-9 For this thou shall not ...

The Commandment To Love #1 {Jn:13-34} Jesus gave the commandment to love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. He was very definitive to his disciples when he made that command. New testament Christians don't keep the law because they say we are under the new commandment to love one another as Jesus loved us. When Jesus gave that commandment to love, he didn't do away with keeping the Ten Commandments. How do I know this? In {Jn:14-15} he says if you love me keep my commandments . For you to have the ability to love one another, God's love must be in you: for God is love. His word must abide in you and through his word we can love our neighbor as Jesus loved us. Jesus acted on the word of the Father that was in him. Here is an example of the Ten Commandments yet in force in the New Covenant. {Matt:19,16-19} 16  And, behold, one came and said unt...
